Every Scandinest name block is cut from solid beech and painted by hand, one letter at a time, by Chloe. Nothing is printed or mass-produced. Each name is made to order, so no two sets are quite the same. It's a keepsake for the nursery that they'll keep long after it.

Size: each block is 4cm × 4cm
Wood: solid beech, sanded smooth
Letters: uppercase or lowercase, your choice
Colours: choose one of our ready-made colourways, or pick your own from the colours on this page and mix or repeat them in any pattern you like
Made to order: dispatched within 2–4 weeks, then delivered in 2–3 working days by Royal Mail Tracked 48

How to order

Choose how many blocks you need, one per letter. For example, ELLIE needs 5.
Choose uppercase or lowercase, then type the name exactly as you'd like it to appear.
Choose your colours. Either pick one of our ready-made colourways, or create your own. To repeat a pattern (for example Mushroom, Crème Brûlée, Airlie, Mushroom, Crème Brûlée), just add the colours in that order and Chloe will paint them to match.
Chloe paints your blocks and we email you when they're on the way.

Our promise
If a block arrives damaged, or we've got anything wrong, let us know as soon as you can (a photo helps) and we'll repaint and replace it free of charge. This doesn't affect your legal rights.

scandinest offers fast and reliable uk delivery on all montessori and nursery toy orders. with the exception of our products containing blocks, in-stock items are processed within 1-2 working days and delivered within 1–3 working days across the UK. orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

personalised orders containing our blocks & bells are handmade to order and have a turn around time of 2-4 weeks. please note that if you purchase other items alongside your blocks, everything will be dispatched together once the blocks are ready.

once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can monitor your delivery every step of the way. Please note that delivery times may vary slightly during peak seasonal periods.

returns & refunds

We want you to shop with confidence.
Personalised items (name blocks and Scandibells) are made just for you, so they can't be returned if you change your mind.
Everything else can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. Return postage is paid by you unless the item is faulty.
If anything arrives damaged or faulty, let us know as soon as you can (ideally within 14 days, with a photo) and we'll replace, repair or refund it. This doesn't affect your legal rights. See our refund policy for full details.

Really beautiful blocks purchased as a gift for a friend with a little one. The variety of colours was great so we could pick our own to match their nursery!

Order took so long to arrive (just over 6 weeks). I understand it says 2-4 weeks for the blocks but it still took much longer. I also emailed about accidentally ordering two things instead of one to catch a refund before shipping but I received no reply. I ordered a yellowy colour as one of the scandiblock colours but I can hardly see the letter and, unfortunately, I have two of that colour in the selection, whereas I feel it would've looked better to have just one of those, especially since I also ordered a mustardy colour. I'm not sure which yellow I ordered because there's no record of the colours I selected in my order invoice, sadly, so it could've been my fault in the order selection but I've no idea. The other colour combination I bought looks really nice though so it's just the delivery, yellow colour and lack of communication that let the service down.

Absolutely beautiful! Arrived exactly as I requested and communication was brilliant via Instagram as u had some issues with a discount code. The doodle I requested was exactly as I asked and they arrived within the timeframe given. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you
